- Provide outpatient therapy to children using developmentally appropriate play therapy techniques
- Partner with parents and caregivers to support progress beyond the therapy room
- Create individualized treatment plans and help clients work through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings and professional development
- A master’s degree in a behavioral health field and a full clinical license in Michigan, such as an LMSW, LPC, or LMFT
- Experience providing therapy to children and using play-based interventions
- A strong understanding of child development and family dynamics
- A warm, creative approach that helps children feel safe and engaged
- Play therapy training or Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credentials are a plus
- Comfort using an electronic health record; Valant experience is a plus

Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community’s needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.”
Feeling blah doesn’t help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time!
