We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Revenue Cycle & Operations Coordinator to support a growing multi-location mental health practice group.

The primary focus of this role is revenue cycle operations, including oversight of billing workflows, follow-up with our offshore billing team, tracking aging and denials, and making sure unresolved claims and patient balance issues continue moving toward resolution.

This is not a hands-on billing position focused on personally working every claim. The role is responsible for keeping workflows organized, making sure issues are assigned appropriately, following up consistently, and escalating problems when needed.

In addition to revenue cycle responsibilities, this person will support broader operational priorities across the business, including reporting, research, special projects, vendor coordination, and follow-up across multiple teams and locations.

The right person is proactive, organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to take an issue or project from initial assignment through resolution without needing repeated reminders.

This is a hybrid position with remote flexibility and requires working from our Bethesda, MD office at least two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day revenue cycle workflows across multiple locations and manage follow-up with our offshore billing team.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, aging, denials, rejected claims, coordination of benefits, patient balances, and other unresolved billing issues.
  • Track open items, owners, deadlines, and next steps, and follow through until issues are resolved.
  • Coordinate billing concerns raised by clinicians, patients, and internal teams and escalate delayed or recurring problems as needed.
  • Prepare recurring billing, payroll, and operational reports for leadership.
  • Coordinate across billing, clinical leadership, patient access, credentialing, payroll, vendors, and other internal and external teams.
  • Research operational issues and organize information needed for decision-making.
  • Support special projects, new processes, system implementations, new locations, medication management, psychological testing, and other business initiatives.
  • Provide proactive updates on outstanding issues, team performance, and operational concerns.
What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and keep work moving independently.
  • Proactive communicator with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Comfortable following up with others and holding team members accountable.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, Excel, reporting, and data skills.
  • Able to learn new systems and workflows quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling confidential patient, employee, financial, and business information.
  • Prior healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with offshore teams, multi-location healthcare, behavioral health, EMRs, CRMs, or payroll systems is a plus.

Compensation

$50,000 annual salary plus benefits.
