Are you a compassionate, creative, and skilled Play Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? Ellie Mental Health in Clinton Township is seeking an Outpatient Play Therapist to join our dedicated team. Your Role as a Play Therapist

  • Provide individual and group play therapy for children, adolescents, and families

  • Use creative, evidence-based therapeutic play techniques to help children express emotions, build coping skills, and overcome challenges

  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs

  • Create a safe, nurturing environment for children to explore and heal through play

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with practice standards

  • Collaborate with families, fellow clinicians, and leadership to ensure quality care

  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent required)

  • Full clinical licensure in Michigan

  • Specialized training/certification in play therapy (RPT or equivalent) preferred

  • Experience providing play therapy to address emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs

  • Strong understanding of child development and family systems

  • Creative approach to engaging children in therapy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with kids, parents, and colleagues

  • Proficiency in Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant experience a plus)

Position Details

  • Expected caseload: 25+ clients per week

  • Flexibility for in-office and some remote work depending on client needs

  • Occasional evening or weekend hours to meet family schedules

Compensation

  • Competitive salary with earning potential of $70,000 – $90,000+ annually based on experience and caseload
