Key Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for children, adolescents, and their families, focusing on both individual and family therapy as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including initial assessments, ongoing treatment plans, case notes, and progress reviews.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including medication providers, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as school staff, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate holistic care for clients.
- Participate actively in clinical team meetings and engage in ongoing professional development and training.
- Offer therapeutic services that integrate play-based methods, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or other evidence-based approaches relevant to the developmental needs of children and adolescents.
- Maintain strong caregiver involvement and conduct family therapy sessions as appropriate to address family dynamics and promote effective support systems.
- Provide therapy services both in person at our clinic and via telehealth, ensuring flexible access to care.
- Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) from an accredited institution.
- Clinical licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, Psy.D. or Ph.D in the State of Florida.
- Demonstrated experience and passion for working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of child development and its intersection with psychopathology, informing appropriate diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Proficient in completing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation, with experience in DC:0-5 or other child-specific diagnostic frameworks being a plus.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and electronic health record (EHR) systems (experience with Valant is a plus).
