Ellie Mental Health – Clarkston is searching for an enthusiastic leader who is passionate about helping clinicians and clients be the best version of themselves. Creativity and Innovation will be at the heart of how you engage, connect, and make a positive impact in the Clarkston community.
- You: will be the Clinic Director at Ellie Mental Health – Clarkston
- You: get to share your vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care
- You will have the opportunity to run a private practice, while having the support of shared services and a committed team behind you

- Be responsible for the overall performance and operation of a clinic composed of approximately 20 professional outpatient therapists
- Be able to build a team – recruit and hire fantastic, unique, and fun-loving clinicians
- Manage clinic performance and client satisfaction; providing training and ongoing developmental support; meeting fiscal goals; marketing clinical services and building community partnerships and referrals, as well as maintaining a reasonable client caseload
- Clinic Director works closely with local Franchisee
- All clinic therapists for this clinic will report to you as the Clinic Director
- Recruitment, Hiring, Training, Retention and Staff Management
- Supervision and Consultation

- Clinic Outreach, Marketing, Social Media Management and Referral Network Development
- Organizational Leadership

- Primary Operational Liaison with Ellie Family Services and Third-Party Partners
- Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy
- For Full-Time status clinicians will maintain a minimum caseload of 25 client visits per week
- Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community
- Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
- Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol
- Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings
- Other stuff we probably forgot to add but just as meaningful and important to your role ;)
- Candidates must live in or around the Clarkston, MI area
- Candidates are required to have a master’s degree, or higher, in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
- Required to have valid state of Michigan License licensure (LP, LMFT, LMSW, LPC, etc.)
- Innovative mindset that combines the qualities of a great therapist with that of a strong business leader with excellent, problem-solving, and executive skill sets
- Required experience with treatment plans and clinical case notes
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
- Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
- Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
- Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications
- Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience a plus!)
