Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for children, adolescents, and their families, focusing on both individual and family therapy as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including initial assessments, ongoing treatment plans, case notes, and progress reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including medication providers, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as school staff, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate holistic care for clients.
  • Participate actively in clinical team meetings and engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Offer therapeutic services that integrate play-based methods, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), or other evidence-based approaches relevant to the developmental needs of children and adolescents.
  • Maintain strong caregiver involvement and conduct family therapy sessions as appropriate to address family dynamics and promote effective support systems.
  • Provide therapy services both in person at our clinic and via telehealth, ensuring flexible access to care.
Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work) from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical licensure (or working toward licensure) as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or related credential in New York State.
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of child development and its intersection with psychopathology, informing appropriate diagnosis and treatment strategies.
  • Proficient in completing diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation, with experience in DC:0-5 or other child-specific diagnostic frameworks being a plus.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and electronic health record (EHR) systems (experience with Valant is a plus).
Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, along with free access to virtual urgent care and short-term counseling services.
  • 401(k) with matching options, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
  • Flexible pay models with competitive compensation and industry-leading earning potential.
  • Manageable caseload expectations with a flexible schedule that allows you to balance your personal and professional life.
  • A warm and comfortable clinic environment with fully furnished offices designed to support both in-person and telehealth care.
