As a salaried employee, the expectation is a 40-hour work week with a minimum of dedicated hours for face-to-face client work and the remaining hours dedicated to areas including, but not limited to, client care, maintaining charts, meetings, outreach, social media, presentations, and training. To be considered for the higher end of the salary range, the applicant needs to demonstrate the ability to supervise as per the BBS requirements (https://www.bbs.ca.gov/licensees/supervisor.html) and/or transition clients from their current practice to Ellie Mental Health to help build one’s own caseload.

Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.”
Feeling blah doesn’t help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time!
