Who we are looking for

Position Overview: We are seeking to retain a Consulting Psychiatrist who believes in the power of psychotherapy. The ideal candidate will provide consultative, medical, and emergency services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
  • Provide consultation and support to therapists and staff regarding complex cases.
  • Offer medical and emergency support as needed.
  • Stay current with developments in psychiatric medicine and best practices in mental health care.
Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in or willingness to work with diverse populations.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules, including remote work.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a therapy practice or similar mental health setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, or addiction psychiatry.
  • A great sense of humor won’t hurt!
